a small collection of things that I like

Here's a small collection of things I've come across that i quite like :)















I've got some really fun bits and pieces I'm planning to make in the next wee while and can't wait to share them with you! still tiny, but a bit different from what I've been making lately! I'll keep you posted :D

eat your peas!

for crying out loud eat your peas. there are crickets starving in the world. I went out to work all day to put that food on the table. If you don't eat your meat you can't have any pudding, how can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat??!!



I had some real crickets (I find dead ones in my laundry all the time which I suspect is due to the stink of training gear :P) put aside that I was going to use for various things.... but the ants ate them! So I quickly constructed a couple to use in some little scenes :)
I suspect they were initially drawn to the basement/laundry area by a weirdly hollow sausage I found down there one time.


anyways, these are my first couple of photos :)



Pudding = brains.

Real butterflies!!!

I love butterflies so am pretty happy with my latest creations..
These are made with REAL butterfly wings!!

bangles and more butterflies!!

A one of a kind lovingly made colourful resin bangle, with a real handmade finish to it.
As you can see, it has splodges, dents, sparkles, and air bubbles that give this bangle real character.





This one is super hard to photograph, the detail is so teensy!! there's butterflies, a caterpillar and tiny caterpillar eggs :D
The setting is a 1" square so you can see how tiny everything is, and all set under doming resin.

I'm still waiting on my supplies to arrive and can't wait to make stuff with them, but have a few projects going on at the moment anyways, so look out for another blog coming up soon!!

tiny butterflies

I haven't posted in a while, I've taken a little break from crafting to study but am waiting for some craft supplies to arrive in the post!! yay!
I didn't get around to posting pictures of my more recent creations, guess that's what happens being a busy mum!

I really love making tiny things, and as it happened I was in bed, not able to sleep one night because all I could think about was how I could make a tiny monarch butterfly to fit inside a little ring!!!

the next morning I went and bought the clay and made a few little ones!

then, I made a couple of little scenes to set them in :)

anyways, I'm just waiting for some parts to arrive so I can get onto making some necklaces similar to the rings :)
